Loyalty to the Light - Mixed on Canvas Painting. This work is a profound sanctuary of memory and self-discovery. The vibrant sunflowers in the foreground are a direct reflection of Paşa and Punk, capturing that instinctive, beautiful way they always turned toward the sun. Looking at them has always felt like watching sunflowers follow the warmth, a natural loyalty that remains rooted in the heart.

Contrasting this light, the dark silhouettes in the background represent the shadow sides of my own soul, brought to the surface by the raw pain of grieving. They mark a difficult process of self-understanding, where the loss forces me to confront the parts of myself that were previously hidden in the dark. Painted as a trace of grieving, the piece captures the struggle to exist between these two worlds: honouring the light of those I’ve lost while learning to navigate the shadows they left behind.
